This weeks lecture was on Semiotics, i confused by this lecture and dont fully understand it but this is my grasp on Semiotics.
Semiotics is the study of the actions of signs and how we interpret signs, what they signify is usually arbitrary but people belonging to different cultures may interpret a particular cultural sign differently. Iconic and arbitrary, arbitrary could be a word or illustration of something that is made to look like a depiction of the real thing, the real thing being iconic because everyone is familiar with the real thing.
it is about communication, and the ways we connect things together.
